We are seeking a qualified Health & Safety Officer to maintain and improve safety standards across our three Milton Keynes sites. You will champion our safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments across all depots
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents with root-cause analysis
Develop and deliver safety training programmes for all staff
Maintain compliance with HSE, DVSA, and industry regulations
Manage external safety audits (ISO 45001, FORS) and accreditations
Chair monthly safety committee meetings and produce management reports
Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation
Requirements
NEBOSH National General Certificate (minimum)
3+ years as a H&S professional in logistics, transport, or warehousing
Experience with ISO 45001 management systems
Knowledge of transport-specific regulations (drivers' hours, vehicle safety)
Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
IOSH membership (TechIOSH or above)
